  • 400g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup beef stock or water
  • 250g egg noodles
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Instructions

  1. Marinate the thinly sliced beef in soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for 10 minutes.
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. Combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, light brown sugar, rice vinegar, chili flakes (if desired), and beef stock or water in a bowl.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated beef until browned; remove from wok.
  5. Stir-fry minced garlic, grated ginger, and broccoli for about 2 minutes until bright green.
  6. Return the beef to the wok along with the prepared sauce. Add cooked noodles and toss everything together until heated through.
