Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lobster tails
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Thaw lobster tails if frozen. Cut down the center of each shell and gently lift the meat above while keeping it attached.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk and Old Bay seasoning. Marinate the lobster tails in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Remove tails from the marinade, allowing excess liquid to drip off. Dredge each tail in flour, shaking off any excess.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Carefully fry the lobster tails in batches for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with your choice of dipping sauces.
