  • 1 heaping cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chai spice blend
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • Pinch of kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, chai spice blend, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until small and larger pieces remain.
  4. Whisk together heavy cream and eggs; add to dry mixture until just combined.
  5. Shape dough into a disc; chill in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll out dough and cut into wedges; place on baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20–22 minutes until golden brown; cool before glazing.
  8. Whisk together powdered sugar, chai spice blend, vanilla extract, heavy cream, maple syrup, and salt until smooth.
  9. Dip each cooled scone's top into the glaze for generous coverage. Let them sit for about ten minutes before serving.
