  • 56 ripe peaches, cut into 8 wedges
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
  • 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter for drizzle
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and melt cubed butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add milk and vanilla; stir until just mixed.
  3. Toss peach wedges with remaining brown sugar and maple syrup.
  4. Layer half the peach mixture over melted butter in the dish, pour batter on top without stirring, then add remaining peaches.
  5. Bake for 50-55 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.
  6. While baking, prepare maple butter drizzle by boiling remaining butter and maple syrup together.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
